The largest owner-operators are Enbridge (50), Energy Transfer (27) and Enterprise Products Partners (25) — Enbridge alone is named on 8% of them. Half of United States's pipelines in service predate 2016 (median commissioning year of the 356 with a known date), 187 came online in the past decade and the oldest still listed is Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline, dating from 1904. 73 are in the pipeline, led by Alaska LNG Pipeline (AKLNG), proposed.
